Some people have managed to get the game to run lower than the minimum requirements. But you cannot count on that. If your computer doesn't meet the requirements then you have the choice to either "pump up" the unit you have, so it can play the game. Or you must build a new computer that can. If you wish to build a rig that'll do the job, just let me know. That's what I (and a few other in this group) can do. You can do wonders with a couple hundred dollars...

ye hah!(im from texas) that is great now i wont have to call 50 diffirent computer store and get no answer unless i bring my computer in and then get charged for what a new computer costs, will you give free consultations for the group pleeeeez? and i bet alot of the people that are telling you they cant hire you couldnt even do what you can do, ive had a few jobs where my machine breaks and the group leader who spent 5 years in collage couldnt fix it as well as i could, self taught is the best taught in most cases , and kudos to you for going back to school you can never have enough education!

The specs really don't say much about it, just what it is capable of being.... It tells you that it can hold up to a 3.8Ghz chip but not what is in it. It tells you that it can hold 4g of memory but not what the memory is. What size hard drive is there? I don't see any kind of optic drive listed, so if you get it, you'll need to buy a cd drive or a dvd drive... Personally, I would recommend getting the dvd drive or both... What is the price? I can't tell you it's a good buy from these specs, but if the price is right, it could be a decent starter computer, it is a bare bone system meant to be just that, a starter computer for you to build up. ----- Original Message -----

If you go to a store that sells video games. Look on the back of the CD case. It will tell you the minimium requirements for running the game.

No techie here either, but I do know my gateway ran the sims 2. When I bought my dell XPS however, it opened a whole new world in the game.

have you tried running it with out the updated card mine works fine .i for 1 like the game there are things i miss from sims 2 but as always if they added all the stuff in the first game we wouldnt need to buy the extra cds lol
