A little... Friend asked me what it would cost to build a gaming computer for him, then he compared what I priced to what Dell offered with exact same specs. I priced him at $900 and Dell wanted $2700.

Not something I can really tell you online in an e-mail, but you buy the parts that you need put them together.
You'll need:
Case
Power Supply (if Case doesn't already have it)
Motherboard and CPU Chip
Memory
Hard Drive (Recommend SATA over PATA, but be sure motherboard supports SATA)
CD/DVD Drive (At today's prices, I recommend getting a DVR Drive and again SATA)
Video Card
Keyboard
Mouse
Choice of Operating System
And any extras that you may want.
If you're not gonna keep using current computer, you can use its case, power supply, harddrive and CD/DVD drive, but I usually just buy all new and either keep my old system for smaller jobs or give it to my mother or a friend.
