Mod the Sims is my favorite site. Much better than TSR and FREE!

I tend to think of Sapphire sims as a beginning place for creators, and I shy away from there because of all the blinkies and gaudy awards they all use in their siggies.

Grand Duchess Emerald is one of the nicest people I have ever met playing the sims, and I will always be grateful to her for starting my journey into custom content creation!!!

I highly recommend staying AWAY from TSR.
Most of the best creators (and the ones with any morals) have jumped that sinking ship long ago.

Lots of the files from there will bork your game. Some contain trojans.
The people who run it are only after money and the creators they keep no longer create for love of the game , but for money, meaning more downloads of poor quality.
They use the FREE tools provided by the community and then want you to PAY to download their stuff.

Go to a free site where they create because they play the game. They take their time to perfect things, and it shows.

And, as always, don't pay when you can find it for free in the "booty"!!!

My Mom told me to share. May she rest in peace.

LOL, I was wondering why MY sims have been doing that! I imagine it is from some mod I am using. Do you use inteen? try removing your downloads folder temporarily and play, but don't save. If your sims are back to waving you know it's something in your Downloads folder!

The best place to look for any kind of downloads is MTS.
http://www.modthesims2.com/

You can find nice antiques many other places, but I must warn you many of them contain so many polys they make your game lag and loading time increase. At MTS I believe they list the polys.

http://simsantiquites.com/Sims2/sims2index.htm
Has many beautiful things, but like vita sims, may have large polys.
If you visit the Sims Cave, MCP has a list of high poly sets.

Please don't pay for these files you will probably end up removing. Get them from the booty instead:

And don't forget to use google (or another search program) to find new shopping places!

Hope you have a wonderful vacation! Take plenty of photos so it will be easier to create sim houses from the houses you see in your travels!!

Be happy, be safe, have fun!!

Hi Susim, wondering  why my Sims salute all the time, they used to just wave,

Also if you can tell me where I can pick up vintage furniture for their houses, like wrought iron beds, flounced lounge suites etc?
