objects_for_Sims2 Re: FW: I Believe OT

My Mom died a few days before Mother's Day. It makes the holiday a little bittersweet. I never stop missing her and wanting to talk to her, but now I tend to remember all the special wonderful amazing things about her and how lucky I was to have her.

Personally, I disagree…  A loved one is a loved one…My mom dies, I will be as torn up as I am over losing my grandmother this week.  My dad dies, I may grief, but not like I did for my grandma…  But then, I never really felt like my dad loved me and can't say that I was bummed when he left.  I was 17 when he left and then when he called the house, he told all of kids that he loved them except me…

Right now, I am ok with my grandmother's death.  I did a lot of crying the day we were told that she didn't have much longer and then when she passed the next day…  Tomorrow is the viewing and then Thursday is the funeral.  I feel for my sister, the funeral is her birthday, also…

im so sorry that u had to watch your mom die... I wouldnt know, but i think it would be harder to lose a parent then a grandparent, in some cases depending on who u were closer to, but at least we know that our love one's are in a better place, and they dont have to feel no pain anymore. It does feel good to know ur not alone!

Just would like to ask everyone to keep my family in their thoughts…  My grandmother is 95 years old and we were told yesterday that she might not make it through he day, today she is gasping for air, so her time here is very short…  Her blood pressure is so low that it isn't registering.  While I will miss her, I pray that God doesn't let her suffer much more…

Owl,
I am sorry for your loss. While I've never lost a parent, I have lost loved ones. I'm glad to see you back, as just the other day I was wondering what had happened to you.

Glad to see you back!

Nobody's perfect.... just call me *nobody*, laffin (oh, and i'm modest too).

I'm baaaaackkkkkkkkkk.... my Mother died back in September, so i took a break from all things online.  I am now an orphan as Dad died back in 99 - and those of you who are there will know what i'm going thru, but for those of you who don't.... it seems i am no longer a daughter, no longer an *active* Mother... what am i?  It is a time to re-evaluate your role in the world, grieve for what is lost as well as who is lost.  It is a very hard, but very meaningful, time.

And didn't i miss the shenanigans while i was away???? I'm down to 1980 unopened emails, thanks everyone, its way kewl to see what happened... WOW... politics, religion, rude people - we just need someone to send in nuddy photos so we can all jump up and down on 'em, rofl.

And of course, personal crises.  I am so glad that we can reach out to each other at these times, knowing that you will be here for us... as we are for you when the chips are down.  This group is not *just* about the Sims, although that is our common thread.  Its about us, caring and sharing and the occasional smackdown.  Thank you all, lurkers included.
