I think you must have yours downloading directly into your downloads folder which is bad. You probably have zipped files in there.
I create a new folder on my desktop for my new downloads. They must be unzipped before adding to your Downloads. Don't put any of the read me's or photos into your Downloads.
Do a search of your computer for the name of the file to find where your downloads are. If you don't remember the name go back where you got the file.
